When I was a little girl, I used to sing in the church choir. My very favorite thing about belonging to the choir was that we would always put on plays for the holidays.  Lately, a song from one of our Christmas plays has been running through my head and I just can't shake it.  I have no idea what the name of the song is, but the lyrics are, "Presents!!  All I think about are Presents!  Night and day I dream of presents! Gimme, gimme, gimme presents!!!"

Obviously this was the part of the play that shows you how NOT to feel about Christmas, but it has been stuck in my head all month long, except the version in my head is all about "Presence."

All I think about is presence.

Night and day I dream of presence.

Gimme, gimme, gimme presence.

After some serious soul searching, I've made the decision to scale back a LOT on my shop.
At first, this decision was giving me almost as much anxiety as the shop.
Would I be disappointing people?
Is it wrong to give up the income for my family?
Does this make me a quitter?

But you know what I realized?

The people who really really matter are SO happy about this decision, and guess what I've already started gaining back?

And to those people who matter the most - it's the best gift I can give.
